Every pilot who flies a Drake ship, knows that the company puts all their money into making a ship sturdy and easy to work on. Standard safety features used by other manufacturers, are not a Drake trademark.
Sometime after the first Drake ships rolled off the production line, a potential buyer was heard to ask about ejection seats. That caused another buyer to exclaim the now infamous reply, “We don’t need no stinkin’ ejection seats!”.
The rest, as they say, is history. That now famous reply has become the unofficial motto of Drake pilots everywhere. It’s one of those things that you either understand, or you don’t. If you fly a Drake ship, you understand.
